I'm Vicki, the artist behind the portraits and other creations you'll find on The Hedgepig Workshop.

I live in Norwich with my husband, two children, two dogs, two cats and my chickens! It's a pretty full house as you can imagine, but I wouldn't have it any other way, having grown up as part of a large family and always surrounded by a multitude of animals.

I've been creating and crafting for longer than I can remember, from making my own clothing and accessories in my teens, to creating crochet toys, paper-cutting artwork, lino-printing, hand-drawn greetings cards, and latterly, portrait artistry.

I've worked a variety of jobs over the years, but I've only ever truly been happy working on my arty projects. With a little bit (a lot, actually!) of encouragement, and constant reassurance about my ability (I'm plagued by anxiety and often struggle for confidence), I decided to 'go pro', with the ambition of making a living out of the thing I enjoy most.
It should go without saying, but I hope you enjoy my creations. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than bringing joy to people through my work.
